Because you didn’t have a coach!! I find, when talking with fellow loan officers that this was THE BIG AHA of 2006…coaching!!! It was for me and I’ll bet that most Mastermind and Platinum coaching members would say the same thing!!

I once read that the only thing that people really do consistently is GROW OLDER! Well, if you could be a fly on the wall in our Platinum meetings or on the line when we talk to Mastermind Coaching members, you would agree that these people are CONSISTANT and IMPLEMENTORS.

How many times have you heard someone say “I work so hard, I should be doing better and taking more loan applications” or “I’ve been in this business for 10 years, and I should be making more money!” Well as you know, the word “should” is nothing but a word that implies entitlement. Well, truth be known, NONE OF US are entitled to anything except OPPORTUNITY and opportunity surrounds us whether we believe it or not. If you are a believer then you are probably doing well in this slower market but if you are sitting around feeling “entitled” then your numbers may reflect this attitude.

This is a BIG reason why a person fails to advance much from one year to the next! These types of people “drain me” because they are always whining, complaining and feeling sorry for themselves. I have been there so I’m not standing on my soap box but I’m simply stating a fact that needs to be reasoned with, if you are one of these people!

Dan Kennedy said it well “If you are good at making excuses than you are good at NOT MAKING MONEY!”

Do you suffer from “Alibi-itis”? Alibi-itis is “I’d do that IF…. I had enough money. If I had a spouse that supported me. If I had a better processor. If I worked for a better company and had a larger split. STOP procrastinating and suffering and make 2007 “The Year of Implementation”. Make this your motto and live and die by it. Don’t sleep until you “get ‘er done,” you can sleep when you die!!!!

Coaching can help you get out of your own way by having a sounding board, by having that person who can help hold you accountable and it will also put you in touch with like minded people. I truly hope that each and very person who reads this, who truly and madly wants to make mammoth leaps this year, will consider a coaching program and I PROMISE if you’ll invest in yourself, you will accomplish things that you thought were impossible! (you know those things that keep you up at night like time management, returning those calls, making money!!)

HERE’S to the best year in the mortgage industry…The Year of Implementation!
