So You Think You Already Knew That!
(Another IAKT Moment)
Raise your hands if you read these editors notes and articles each week and say "This is so obvious - I already knew that"! Your are pretty proud of yourself for knowing it too, aren't you? Now keep your hand up if you were actually implementing those tips prior to reading them. Do you still have your hand up? Great!! For the rest of you, is your business doing as well as you want? Is it really performing to its fullest potential? Are you living life to its fullest? There is a name for those little moments, where you read something and say "I Already Knew That". They are called IAKT moments (I Already Knew That). There are a lot of those moments in life. Once you hear or read something and it is explained in the right way, it becomes obvious. Sometimes you say to yourself why didn't I think of that. Other times, you did think of it, but just did not put the right emphasis on it. Most of us just need a little prod, a gentle reminder, a little guidance to put things in perspective and to get our butts in gear.
Do not read these notes and simply say "I Already Knew That". Read them and think about them. Say to yourself, how can I make that apply to my situation? How can I use that to my advantage? Sure, they might not all be real zingers, but all you need to do is find one that you can focus on, find someway to make a small change. Choose the right one and fantastic results will ensue!
Have you ever walked into a City Hall building, a Grand Opera Hall, or fancy Museum that has very large and obviously very heavy doors? Have you noticed how relatively easily it is to open those doors? It is all in the hinges. Those small hinges support those heavy doors so they can open easily. The same is true in business. As I talked about last week, "Life can change in an instant." Continue to read all the tips, read all the reports, listen to the teleseminars, and take some relevant classes, from here and anywhere else you find interesting. Pick one of the "obvious" tips, and instead of just saying "I already knew that" implement it. You'll be surprised how "Small hinges can open big doors" (for you and your business).
