It is July 4th. Did you know this is a holiday to celebrate YOU? July 4th is Independence Day, a day to celebrate our freedom as a country. It is also a great time to stop and think about your own personal freedom.

Have you sat down and taken the time to design the lifestyle of your dreams? Are you living that lifestyle? Does it include not working on holidays such as the 4th of July and being able to go on vacation wherever you want for as long or short as you want?

Whether you realize it or not, you are your own company. You should consider yourself your own bosss too. This is true whether you own a large company, are a sole-proprietor working out of your home, or you work for a somebody else. You are your own company within that organization!

Ultimately, you control your own destiny and you are responsible for your own performance. You have chosen what industry you want to be in and what you want to do within that industry. Now is the time to figure out how you can best capitalize on that. It is time to determine what you will focus on, how you will market yourself and your products or services, what system will make you most productive, and how you will find new clients and retain the existing ones.

This means you must invest in yourself. You must make that investment upfront, now, not later. If you continually find excuses of why some other task needs to be done now or you expect your employer to provide the necessary resources or to pay for your training, then you will have a very long wait. Success comes from within. And the key to this success is finding the right elements of investment that are needed for you. Are you ready to make that investment? Are you ready to celebrate a real Independence Day?
