How To Fix: So Busy and So Little Time

Are you always very busy? Do you not have enough time each day and each week to get done everything you know needs to be done? Are you so busy you are not being effective, you do not know where the day has gone, and you can't understand why? Being Busy and being effective are not the same thing.

Here is a quick tip that will cost you nothing to implement. Something you can do right now to help keep you focussed on what really counts. This is such a simple tip, you should implement it now, as you read this, take one minute, no, take half a minute. On a sticky note, write "Is what I am doing right NOW making me money?" That's it. Now stick this in a very prominent place, for example on your computer monitor, next to ( not on ! ) the screen.

That's right, that's all there is to it. Think about it, how often do you get bogged down working on the little details? Doing tasks you could be paying someone else to do, or working on something that is easy because you have a psychological barrier to working on the harder ( and more necessary) task? Yes, these little tasks, such as checking your email or surfing the web or sharpening your pencils make you feel very busy and gives you something to check off on your To-Do list, but are they really getting you closer to making more money?

Be brave. Challenge yourself to work on those bigger more important tasks and stay focussed.
