The End Of The Year Is Near
(Are you thankful?)

Thanksgiving is almost upon us. It is more than just a time to celebrate the pilgrims landing at Plymouth Rock and the fall harvest. It is a time to sit back and appreciate all that we have to be thankful for. Hopefully you have a long list: your family, your friends, your health and even a prosperous year.

For many, Thanksgiving marks the beginning of the end of the year. It is the race to the end now - nothing else will happen business-wise between now and New Years. For others, this is the busiest time of year and they close more loans than any other time. Hopefully business has been good for you this year and you can actually take a few days off for Thanksgiving.

Me, I am going on a mini vacation with my family. We are driving to see relatives. It has been a long time since I have been on vacation and even longer since I have seen all my relatives. The nice thing about an internet business is that you can conduct business from anywhere. All you need is a phone, computer, and an internet connection. Actually, you do not even need the phone anymore with the advent of such services as Skype. Okay, that is the good news. It is also the bad news. I cannot get away from work. I want to conduct an informal poll. How many of you take your computer with you and work on your vacation? I took this poll once before, and the results were almost 50/50. There were those who said they have been in business a long time, know the ups and downs and know how to moderate themselves. Then there were those that said they were newer to the business and felt they needed to stay on top of everything constantly.

I want to see if now that the end of the year is approaching are you more comfortable with how your business is doing or less. If you have been following the advice I have been giving for the past year, you should be well on your way to feeling confident about your business and be able to take a few days off to rest with your family and count the things you have to be Thankful for.
